A Winter Day of Learning and Connection at The Huntington
The Marymount Education Foundation was delighted to host a winter scholar gathering at The Huntington Library, Art Museum, and Botanical Gardens, an experience that brought learning, exploration, and connection together in a truly inspiring setting.
Surrounded by the Huntington’s renowned collections and beautiful grounds, Marymount Scholars spent the day engaging with history, literature, and art while connecting with one another outside of the traditional classroom. The visit encouraged curiosity and reflection, offering scholars the opportunity to experience interdisciplinary learning within one of Southern California’s most celebrated cultural institutions.
We were especially grateful to have James Cross guide our scholars through the rich history of The Huntington. His thoughtful storytelling and deep knowledge of literature and history brought the institution’s legacy to life, creating an engaging and accessible experience. Scholars were invited to ask questions, share perspectives, and connect what they learned to their own academic interests and educational journeys.
Experiences like this underscore the Marymount Education Foundation’s commitment to experiential learning and continuous scholar support. By creating opportunities for shared learning in meaningful environments, MEF aims to foster confidence, curiosity, and a strong sense of community, supporting scholars as they grow both academically and personally.
